Thanks very much. The self-portrait ones were tripod shots, the rest were handheld. I have a lightweight carbon fiber tripod that I bought last year which I really like, and I just strap it down to the top of my tail bag. Other than that, I just have my DSLR in a small camera bag inside my tank bag, so it's relatively easy to access and well protected. I also carried a little pocket camera (Canon S100) in my jacket pocket for quickie shots along the way.

Amazing trip! Just commented on how great these photos are over at ducati.ms

Would love to learn more about how you choose to shoot on the multi? Looks like these were tripod shots? Which tripod (and other equipment) do you choose to carry on the multi?

Thanks again!

I've only ridden a little bit with a passenger on that particular bike. I think if the trips were fairly short (1-2 hours as you mentioned), it wouldn't be too bad. There isn't really any wind protection on that bike, so you'll want to keep speeds at a moderate pace to avoid getting worn out by fighting the wind. The seat is pretty comfortable, particularly with the DP racing seat, although the Sargent may be a better option for touring.

Hey, thanks for your review!

Have you ever ride with a passenger on your bike? I'm planning to buy this same bike to make short trips (about 1-2 hours tops) to the mountains with my wife but I don't know how comfy she will be with that kind of seat.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

[...] Last weekend I figured I’d have what would probably be my last chance of the season to get any sort of substantial motorcycle riding in, since cold weather is approaching fast. I had two possibilities – either race supermoto in the last round of the season at Miller, or go on a touring ride to see the fall colors, over toward Portland (much like last year: http://www.latebraker.com/blog/?p=732).
